your head and hands go numb
anticipating the ice and snow
evenings spent close to the flame viewing the coals gleam
the feline cuddled in tight twist
a pleasant mug of warm chocolate
defrosts my nose and takes life back to my toes
as I climb the wooden slope
I think about all the pleasant things I like about this season of year
